The Campaign for BerkeleyThe University of California, Berkeley has officially launched a landmark campaign to raise $3 billion over the next five years. Since the quiet phase began in 2005, The Campaign for Berkeley has raised $1.3 billion dollars in gifts and pledges. Private philanthropy helps the University to attract and retain outstanding professors, to educate the brightest students regardless of financial circumstances, and to maintain a campus environment that promotes discovery, creativity, and distinguished achievement.
